Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve loved creating things. I lived for the days when my mother took me to a craft store or the library where I’d check out crafting books. I’d sit for hours and make birthday cards or clothes for my dolls and stuffed animals. This passion for design and creating things inspired my pursuit of a career in graphic design. As a designer, I enjoy the challenge of taking intangible concepts like moods or feelings and transforming them into something visual.
While studying at the University of Texas at El Paso, I was actively involved with the university chapter of AIGA (American Institute of Graphic Arts) and then after graduation, the El Paso chapter. Getting to meet and learn from creatives with a variety of experiences and abilities helped me share my love of design and explore new ways to communicate creatively.
When I’m not designing communication tools and marketing assets, I enjoy trying out new recipes to share with my family and friends.
