The name ‘Diocesan Migrant and Refugee Services’ was often mispronounced, did not resonate with the intended audiences, and the initialism DRMS was not particularly memorable. The team at DMRS asked us to provide name recommendations that referenced the geographic region along with concepts of hope and faith, and were recognizable in English and Spanish. After substantial research and ideation, the selected name concept was Estrella del Paso, with the option to include the tagline ‘A Catholic Legal Services Ministry for Migrants’ when applicable.

For the website, we started with content to ensure the website would serve as a primary source of information for potential clients and community partners. Estrella del Paso’s legal representation and non-representation services, success stories, and advocacy were key items to highlight on the website. Using the new identity and branding, we created a custom website design to fit the website content. Finally, we ensured the Estrella del Paso team could confidently update the website content including initial consultation policies, success stories, news articles, and more.
